What is the Reliance data card service?
The Reliance data Wireless Card functions as a wireless modem, and a mobile phone. This card allows to connect to the Internet, send and receive e-mail, send and receive SMS, and make voice calls, without the need for a network cable or phone line. It fits into a standard Type II PCMCIA card slot (available on most laptops).
The new USB data card, can be used with both laptop as well as desktop.

The following service features are available:
· Multi-functional - Data, Voice and SMS capabilities.
· High-speed wireless Internet access anywhere in Reliance’s CDMA1x network.

The maximum data speed available on the card is 153 kbps, but in practice the average speed may vary from 40-50 kbps to kbps during peak hours.

· Anytime anywhere access for laptops without cumbersome cables or wires.
· Value added service just like any mobile phone such as call wait, forward, call conference and voice mail service.

Terms and Conditions of the bundled offer of Free data card with 12/24 months advance rental payment:

• Customer can opt for either PCMCIA or USB data card as the free data card bundle. The free data card will be given to the customer at zero cost and will become the property of the customer.
• Customer has to make full payment through two separate cheques of Rs. 8765 (Rs. 2990/- towards Data Card & Rs. 5775/- towards advance rental for first year) in case of 1 GB data plan and Rs. 10787(Rs. 2990/- towards Data Card & Rs. 7797/- towards advance rental) for 24 months advance rental for Swift 40 data plan.
• In case of USB Modem Customer has to make full payment through two separate cheques of Rs. 8765 (Rs. 2850/- towards USB Modem & Rs. 5915/- towards advance rental for first year) for 1 GB data plan and Rs. 10787(Rs. 2850/- towards USB Modem & Rs. 7937/- towards advance rental) for 24 months advance rental for Swift 40 data plan.
• Customer can pay cheque/DD in favor of “Reliance Communications Infrastructure Ltd – A/C RIS” or RCIL – A/c RIS. In case of cheque payment, the CAF will be uploaded only after the clearance of the cheque.
• Exit Option: Customer can terminate anytime but no refund will be made. In case of plan migration rental will be charged as per the migrated plan.
• Customer would be billed for SMS and voice usage and data usage beyond free usage as per the Freedom/Swift 40 data plans.
• In both these offers, Customer will get 10 MB Email ID and 2 MB Web-space.
